Working together
How we work together
Coaching gives you a confidential thinking space with someone who has sat in your seat, and a structure that turns that space into growth. We define where you want your career to go, then work toward it deliberately, session by session.
The work is a mix of coaching and mentoring. I'll ask the questions that get you to your own answer, share my experience directly when it helps, and hold the thread that connects the weeks.
Getting started
Starting is simple
An intro call
Free, 30 minutes. You talk about where you are and where you're trying to go; I'll tell you honestly whether coaching is the right tool for it. No pressure, no commitment, just a conversation. We'll also cover logistics and pricing here.
The first five sessions
If we're both in, we start with a five-session block. That's enough time to get past the surface topics and into the real work. And if you finish those five sessions and don't think they were worth it, I'll refund you.
An ongoing rhythm
From there we settle into a cadence of 50-minute sessions every two weeks, adjusted to what your season looks like. You can pause or stop whenever the work is done.
Inside a session
What the work actually looks like
First, the destination
We open the engagement by mapping your career goals and the growth areas between you and them. That map is the backbone of everything that follows, and we revisit it as your situation evolves.
Each session opens with a focus
You bring the topic, a running theme or something live from your week: a promotion case, an offsite you are designing, a conversation you are dreading. Together we tie it to your growth, name why it matters, and define what success looks like by the end of the call.
Coaching first, mentoring on purpose
Most of the hour is questions that help you build the answer, because the answer you build is the one that sticks. When my time running these teams is the faster path, I'll say so and share it plainly.
I hold the thread
Across sessions I surface what repeats: the theme that keeps coming back, the ask you keep postponing, the wins you move past too quickly. Naming those is where most of the breakthroughs start.
Rehearsal, out loud
If a hard conversation is coming, you say the actual words to me, I push back the way your VP would, and we run it again until your version sounds like you at your best.
Confidential, and it ends in motion
This is a private thinking space. Nothing goes back to your company. And every session ends the same way: you, clear on what you're doing next and how it moves your growth forward.
Fit
Who this is for
Leaders of customer-facing technical teams: Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Support Engineering, and Forward Deployed Engineering. Directors weighing what comes next. First-time managers finding out that leading is a different job. High performers carrying scope that keeps growing inside companies that keep changing.
Coaching here is a growth tool. Most of my clients arrive already succeeding and use the work to reach the next level: more scope, more influence, and a pace they can sustain.
If you're looking for a demo-skills course, a job-search service, or someone to hand you a ready-made playbook, I'm the wrong coach and I'll tell you that on the intro call. The work here is thinking, deciding, and leading better, with your own answers doing the heavy lifting.
